Operation Seminole Saber, a five-week mission in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, focused on the recovery and safe location of critically missing youth.

During this period, the US Marshals Service (USMS) initiated 33 cases of missing children, successfully resolving 27 of these cases. The operation was a collaborative effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies, such as the Tampa Police Department, St. Petersburg Police Department, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

A significant portion of these cases, seventeen in total, involved victims of human trafficking or were related to juvenile arrest warrants.

St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway highlighted the importance of the resources and community partnerships provided by Operation Seminole Saber. These partnerships were crucial for providing health and support services to the recovered youth, who often neglect their health while missing.

Additionally, the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice was able to clear ten juvenile arrest warrants in the two counties, achieving a clearance rate of nearly 80% for open warrant cases under this operation.

U.S. Marshal William Berger, representing the Middle District of Florida, expressed pride in the successful collaborations and positive community impact resulting from Operation Seminole Saber. "There is no more rewarding mission for the US Marshals Service than assisting in the safe recovery of our nation's missing children," Berger stated.
